my parents done this to me when I was younger but instead of a gift card in the case it was a disk it was fallout 3 (no lie) which was just released and incase anyone was wondering the case was Tekken 5 a PS2 game they took it as a joke because I just gotten rid of my PS2.

I actually found a person near my place selling a GameCube and N64 together for 15bucks. I'd buy them if original discs (non-pirated) were sold in my country.

Nice. I have never actually played with N64 nor with Gamecube. Only thing I had when I was a kid was Amiga/Commondore thingy can't remember what it exactly was. It had floppy disks and the games would load in very slowly. It was great fun though.

I'm (relatively) young so I only had the Pentium 1, SNES (only Donkey Kong for it, tho), and then later two PS1s up until my pre-teens.
I still remember those days when we'd take 15 minutes to set up SNES everyday to play and this very old, and obscure PC robot fighting game that gave me the heebiejeebies every time I played it.

If you grew up with the SNES, your childhood was the shit. I love my Super Nintendo. And I'm 25. It was the first game system I ever had, for Christmas when I was 5. That fucker came with 2 full games, Super Mario All Stars, and Dr. Mario/Tetris. Back in the day when they actually gave you full games with your system.

Heh, the only game we had for the SNES was Donkey Kong Country. A relative had brought both the game and the console from the US for us. But since my country thrives on pirating content, we couldn't really get any other game for it. But, still man, playing DK everyday was a blast!

DK was pretty great, you could have had some that were relatively horrible. What country do you live in?

If someone drives 2+ hours to work and 2+ hours home it's because either

1. they live in the middle of fucking nowhere (I live in a city)
or
2. they have an important/high paying job or a job they feel some real passion for

The UK is a small island, driving 2 hours covers a significant part of it, it's almost like driving to the other end of the country just to go to work

My car can't handle that kind of journey every day
the bad points MASSIVELY outweigh the good

And were you in my position you'd do exactly the same because you'd see it simply isn't worth it

I have the option of holding out and finding a job here though
I also have the option to go back to school, take out a student loan (they're not a big deal in the UK compared to say US) and live cheap student life

I can afford to go without one a little longer (and I'[m living off savings btw, I'm not leeching welfare)
but the social isolation is probably doing me more harm than simply not having money
but I do need money under the belt to make some of my dreams come true

but I'm NOT going to put myself through a lifestyle that would quite honestly make me wish I were dead just to chase a few bucks

because I want to work rather than go back to school, at least I thought I did, but more recently I've been romanticizing the idea of studying again, I miss it, it was a passion
I don't miss the stress of finals but I miss that lifestyle.

I'm not just "waiting" I'm applying to a lot of places daily and taking interviews wherever I can
