User avatar
#95 - purpelpumpkin (07/25/2015) [-]
if that is what he said (can't see its deleted now) then thats exactly like the feminist argument to men "you have no say in this you are a man." and thats bullshit
User avatar
#96 - xtremehivoltage (07/25/2015) [-]
What he said was "sorry but this is talking about if you are a man"
User avatar
#102 - juter (07/25/2015) [-]
We don't even know if it was a man saying it. Not only anon, but didnt even say which

ah fair enough, and sure it was, doesn't mean it only applies to men tho, although i guess it kinda does because you dont really hear about any women falsely accused of rape.

at least i haven't

Most people generally don't care, since they are huge double standards with rape accusements and the actually raping with gender difference. Plus women have thousands of support lines and benefits role out by the truck for rapes and such, men have nearly no support or benefits as such.
I understand that it's disgusting that we don't care since every rape case if true should be treated with care and a helping hand, on the other hand they already receive it by the truckload. Plus most guys are salty that women can mostly get away with rape, they rare get done in, if they rape a guy. he enjoyed it, so it wasn't rape hue hue.. fucking double standards
#120 - anon (07/25/2015) [-]
men are mostly the ones who say that though, look at the comment sections here when a male student is raped by a female teacher, everyone talks about how lucky he is. Men are so prideful and afraid of looking less masculine and that's a reason for a lot of male problems. Solve it by supporting your male friends and telling your sons that being masculine doesn't mean they can't cry or be victims.

Indeed, but that's not it. A lot of women want men to be masculine so it isn't quite so simple, the world has things ingrained into it and these things cannot be changed so easily . The problem is you fix one issue and erupt another 2. I understand your statement but the fact you think "men are the ones who say that though" is the issue, why do men think that? why is that the general logic?
#144 - anon (07/25/2015) [-]
considering most gender roles were set up by men, it was other men who put this into place. Mothers console their crying children while men tell them to "man up". Also haven't you seen girls beg men to be more open about their feelings? And I'm just saying if women are the only ones saying it's okay men won't believe it because they dont want to be called pussies by other dudes.

That would be a diplomatic and military nightmare for the US. It would alienate the whole world and sympathy for Iran would grow tremendously. And lets not forget Iran is stronger than what Iraq was.
#109 - anon (07/25/2015) [-]
No body likes the middle east, they are not going to get sympathy just because the US blows up the factory they were using to make bombs in

Nobody likes aggressors, specially if the attacked country was willing to make a deal.

Except that this is something happening in their own country. Bombing them for trying to develop nuclear technology on the off chance they use it for missiles is like shooting your neighbor on the off chance that he uses his new crowbar to attack you instead of fixing his deck.
User avatar
#113 - meganinja (07/25/2015) [-]
Except it's more like: My neighbor hates me and has told me multiple times he wants to kill me. He goes out and buys a gun and points it right at you, even though he doesn't have ammo.
User avatar
#136 - greyhoundfd (07/25/2015) [-]
They're developing nuclear technology, not nuclear missiles. Obviously, if they were developing nukes we would stop them, but they're not. "Nuclear technology" refers to the processes needed to refine Uranium for nukes or nuclear reactors. A gun is used exclusively for killing things, a crowbar is not.
User avatar
#138 - meganinja (07/25/2015) [-]
I'm sorry I misunderstood, I thought we were specifically talking about the nuclear weapons program. I'm kinda unsure about this. On one hand, I'm not sure whether Iran is trustworthy or not, I don't really know how heavily the media skews opinion, but I'm a huge proponent of using nuclear power, so I think I'm fine with it.
User avatar
#139 - greyhoundfd (07/25/2015) [-]
Okay.

I don't trust them either, but that's why we're spending millions on ensuring that their processes are used exclusively for nuclear reactors. Trust me, they're Iran. No one believes the "I just want cheap energy" sob story.
#107 - anon (07/25/2015) [-]
They literally said they want to make fucking nuclear bombs, its like letting the guy with the crowbar into your house after he said he was going to beat you to death with his new crowbar
