both are limiting used games... though it suck for US as European Law states they cannot hinder the second hand market in any way (aka, blocking used games = ban of console in europe... atm valve is getting sued for it as steam doesn't allow second hand games)

Steam sells soft data. To use a used game you put it in your disk drive.

Just to clear this up between you two, when Derkarus said "That's a Valve game not a steam game" he was correct. To be a Valve game it has to be made by Valve. To be a Steam game is has to be downloaded using the Steam client. Its one of the square rectangle things.

Sony did not announce a used games fee yet, but it can be assumed that there will be one due to companies like EA already trying to prevent people from buying used games by using activation codes.
