Copy the picture you want to use to the Clipboard. ...
Select the file or folder whose icon you want to replace and choose File > Get Info.

Oddly enough, I'm about to sell my macbook for an intel processor. Any recommendations for a guy who likes to game (I don't need anything to run at 120FPS, just at least let me play skyrim)
User avatar #200 - famkehoopers (12/25/2014) [-]
Skyrim
Core I3
GTX 270 (If that is still made)

Skyrim MODDED:
Core I7
GTX 750 TI (at least)
User avatar #203 - twondai (12/25/2014) [-]
no way. i use a core i3 with gtx 550 ti 1gb and i get a solid 60 fps with lots of graphics mods and such at 1080p. but i think there's some black magic going on in my system because that's pretty low end stuff
User avatar #207 - famkehoopers (12/25/2014) [-]
Post your mod list plox
User avatar #206 - famkehoopers (12/25/2014) [-]
To be honest, I think Skyrim is moddable to a point that the pentagon cannot even run it.
User avatar #204 - famkehoopers (12/25/2014) [-]
Well, Modded I mean, 150+
Weather
Skyrim HD Full (not the crappy DLC one)
Middas (or whatever) HD Full for Armors, weapons, npc's and all else that Skyrim HD did not alter.
HD Fires
Modded prefs to max out shadows
All that shit.
User avatar #205 - twondai (12/25/2014) [-]
yeh that's pretty much what i'm running. i'm serious about the black magic stuff my rig really shouldn't be able to run like that
User avatar #208 - twondai (12/25/2014) [-]
can't right now. i'm on my laptop and my gaming rig is 600 KM away. no gaming for this holiday season

buy a gameboy colour
i heard it has colour
User avatar #159 - luqmanr (12/25/2014) [-]
these days, sub 400-500$ build PC would be enough to play skyrim at 1080p (maybe even 1440p) i think.
If you're going cheap don't go intel and nvidia, do amd.
User avatar #161 - xsnowbanex (12/25/2014) [-]
What about laptops? I need something for school work, but I'm not sure about buying a gaming laptop when I need it for college
User avatar #169 - luqmanr (12/25/2014) [-]
hmm... i don't know much about laptops, but maybe at least something like this www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834317602

chinese hands-on
www.youtube.com/watch?v=lphnIgjZUbc

though it would be such a waste just aiming to play skyrim, if you've got more money to spare, then anything higher would be nice. My recommended brands are asus or lenovo. My friends have those brands, and they're quite excellent, quite durable.

It's cool. The saw is called a coping saw, he used a hand dill to make a small hole (you can use a power tool or whatever), that metal stick is a mandrel used to size rings (he put sand paper over it to make the inside sanding easier, you can just use your hands.) Other than that it was mostly high grit sand paper.

Well, at your convenience I would go there and get some wood. They usually have a section that is just full of small, specialty woods of different colors and grains. Ebony, bloodwood and . Buy which ever color(s) suit your fancy, get a coping saw, sandpaper of 100, 300, and 600 grit then. The rest of the stuff you need is probably just sitting around. So, now that you've got all this stuff Ill break down the process with this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8ccr8sPQ_w It is almost identical to how I make my rings. Keep in mind, that going as fast as you can and not taking your time will make a shitty product. Thats basically it. Your first ring will not be perfect so don't be discouraged. I had exactly 0 experience with rings 3 weeks before I made that nice orange and purple one. Invest in good sandpaper because that will take up 70% of the process.
If you have any other questions I can help with, just ask.

well, first we'd have to come to an agreement on the logistics. Such as who pays for shipping and what not. Then onto the ring itself, your size, design and cost.
