Well, at your convenience I would go there and get some wood. They usually have a section that is just full of small, specialty woods of different colors and grains. Ebony, bloodwood and . Buy which ever color(s) suit your fancy, get a coping saw, sandpaper of 100, 300, and 600 grit then. The rest of the stuff you need is probably just sitting around. So, now that you've got all this stuff Ill break down the process with this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8ccr8sPQ_w It is almost identical to how I make my rings. Keep in mind, that going as fast as you can and not taking your time will make a shitty product. Thats basically it. Your first ring will not be perfect so don't be discouraged. I had exactly 0 experience with rings 3 weeks before I made that nice orange and purple one. Invest in good sandpaper because that will take up 70% of the process.
If you have any other questions I can help with, just ask.

Thank you so much man. I truly appreciate it. Hopefully I'll do a few and get good enough to actually give one to my gf

Thats kinda why I started too. I hope you have as mush luck as I did.

I'm gonna be honest, I dont recognize any of that stuff used in the video

It's cool. The saw is called a coping saw, he used a hand dill to make a small hole (you can use a power tool or whatever), that metal stick is a mandrel used to size rings (he put sand paper over it to make the inside sanding easier, you can just use your hands.) Other than that it was mostly high grit sand paper.

Cool. This doesnt seem impossible. What kinds of problems / struggles did you run into when you started to make these rings?
User avatar #449 - mikemeiers (12/14/2014) [-]
just not knowing what the hell I was doing. I initially used a dremal (small saw/sander thing) for all the word and it came out unclean. After that I did a little research and found out what shape I wanted to make and that I had to use hand tools.

Sure man. It's actually not that hard if you've got time and some basic tools. Do you live near a store called "WoodCraft" or any other wood specialty store?

#438 - So How do I go about buying a ring from you?  [+] (11 new replies) 12/12/2014 on mikemeiers's profile 0
User avatar #439 - mikemeiers (12/14/2014) [-]
well, first we'd have to come to an agreement on the logistics. Such as who pays for shipping and what not. Then onto the ring itself, your size, design and cost.

In all honesty all characters are steorotypical, but, well, so did TF2 characters, and Valve made some crazy SFW movies using those characters, Overwatch characters would probably make a good movie too.
