Agnostic atheist. You'll have to explain that one to me.

Agnostic = One who is not sure of the existence of a diety. Nor does one care.
Atheist = One who firmly believes that there is no diety.

And Agnostic Atheist is basically a person who accepts that there may or may not be a diety, but leans more to the 'no' category. Basically, we just don't care much either way lol.

Agreed but we can't just let people cut in line because it's difficult to get into the country

Yea, it's not an easy process but I still think we need to make steps to speed up the process through reform. I mean, some families wait upwards of 20 years just to immigrate into the country legally, which I think is just ridiculous, considering they were willing to wait the whole time and be law-abiding citizens.

Nobody living today had any hand in what happened to the Natives. We can't stop that unless we build a time machine. We can help stop or slow down the flow of illegal immigrants coming into the country

I agree that we can't change history but we can use it to draw conclusions. Personally, I think the issue lies with the system. If we made legal immigration easier, it would be much easier for honest people (who actually WANT to work hard, and aren't just jumping the border to escape because they're criminals) to come into the country and help increase production, therefore everyone wins.

One of the biggest lines I hear from pro amnesty is "The Europeans were illegal"
Which makes no sense since there was no form of government or set of laws and therefore no way they could be illegal.

#133 - xheavymetalx (05/14/2013) [-]
Whether or not it was 'illegal' by definition is irrelevant IMO. It's just, from my perspective, hypocritical to complain about foreigners invading your country when the land you inherited was another society's land to begin with. Compared to the way the natives were robbed of their land and population, I don't think we have the right to complain.

i probably am a bit self-absorbed or self-centered. But we base our ideas around our environment and the people were around. I'm sure if I grew up some other place or some other way I'd probably have a different outlook, but I don't. So instead of living in a world of "IF's ANDS and BUTS" I'm going to base my life experiences or situations as you say into my opinion which just so happens to be pretty close to the post.
