I would get a haswell I5. If you're going to be gaming, and I5 is best. It costs less, and the I7 is designed for workstation related stuff. Like, very CPU-intensive work. You're not going to need the extra performance you get on an I7.
I like the cooler, coolermaster are very good with that stuff.
Motherboard is pretty good. I'd get the G45, but the G43 is a solid choice. If your internet isn't very fast, you will enjoy having the same priority as a telephone.
Personally, I prefer Kingston RAM. Never failed me so far, and they really work. But it's more personal preference than something like the graphics card or processor.
Solid choice in Hard Drive. Never go under 7200 RPM. I have something similar in my desktop, and it works very well.
Now, for the video card. The manufacturer (EVGA) is a very solid choice, but I would really consider upgrading to an EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX. I've got it myself, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. There are two major differences:
1: SC means superclocked. The clock speed are higher, giving you better FPS. You can do this yourself, but it can be a bit of a hassle if you don't have any experience with it. It only costs slightly more, and I definitely think it's worth it.
2: ACX stands for Active Cooler eXtreme. It's a bit cliché, but it really works. It costs the same as the reference cooler, and completely outperforms it in every way. My rig consists of one GTX 770 SC ACX and a GTX 550 Ti for PhysX. The 770 never goes above 71 degrees celsius, and it has an idle temp of 25-27 degrees during the winter (ambient temp of about 20 degrees). The 550 Ti had, before the 770 was added, an idle temp during the winter of 35 degrees. Now, it sits at the exact same temp as the 770. The ACX cooler pushes a lot of air, cooling both cards.
I don't know anything about the case. I like the Coolermaster Haf X series, they are very good.
The PSU is alright. You might want a bigger one for future upgrades, though.
The rest looks fine to me

I would say up your processor to a haswell, if you are going with Intel.

If he's getting a single card, why get a 760? Seriously the 770 is a lot faster even at the cost of some price per performance. If he's on a slightly lower budget then maybe there would be a reason to get a 760 but other than that the 770 is your best bet if you're just planning to buy a brand new gpu.

The recommended power supply requirement for a 770 is 600w and the only reason why Nvidia recommends that many watts is for people who run unbranded, non 80 plus, low efficiency power supplies. The gtx 770 's max tdp is 230w and his power supply is a quality branded one. His power supply is just fine for a 770.

Well, two tips:
1. NOTHING is good enough for the people on Funnyjunk.
2. How much do you know about PC components? If you consider yourself good with know where what goes into what (HUE sex joke), you can simply try and gather them bit by bit, without any list. Of course, when you do not know anything about that, just use a list, like you did, and try and google words or sentences you don't understand. You will get the hang of it in no time.
When I gather parts I always go after the requirements of video games.
