Well, see, I have this thing where I want multiple videogame related tattoos, things from pokemon and LoZ and the sort, but I have no real reason behind them other than "I want it." or sometimes I'll see a tattoo idea that I think looks really cool so I want it, but I'm scared I'll go into a shop and they'll ask why it's important to me or why I'm getting it tattooed and I have nothing to tell them expect "I want it." If I really like the design and have liked it for over a year, do you think that would be okay?

I would still go for it because it sounds like to me that gaming is a big part of life for you and if it is I would consider that a defining trait of who you are and what better tattoo idea is there?

See I wanted a triforce eagle obviously but for pokemon, I'm not too sure. Nor do I know what placement I want or where I'd put them. I also wanted the alpha/omega symbol but I'm not sure where I'd put that and that one is purely because I think it looks cool.

I'm all for looks but just keep in mind that this will be on you for the rest of your life (unless you want to pay for it to be removed and run the risk of a nasty scar). If I were you, I would try to find a personal meaning for what you want to help solidify your choice. For me, I have the symbol for phi on my left shoulder because 1. I like the way it looks and 2. every time I see it reminds of my life philosophy/goal

I've said that myself, to be honest. I've always wanted a tattoo (I'm 20 now). Ever since I was 16, I've wanted one. I wasn't an outcast or goth or anything, just a normal guy wanting one. They interested me. But my dad always told me to have a reason behind it. It's your story. It's your body. I never really had one. That was until 2 years ago when one of my best friends passed away from Leukemia. This is my reason. It's to remember him and when people ask, I'm so fucking happy to let them know.

All in all, if you want to get a tattoo, have the reason. And if you're going to be afraid of telling me why you have it, it's not good enough. That's personally my opinion on it. Ask me anything else, I'll be delighted to help.
