It's hardly constructive. It's a critique, but not really necessary; the guy printed out a couple of Nick Cage pictures and put them everywhere. He had his fun, and he was kind enough to share his antics with us.
What's the point of telling him he should have done the same thing, only better, when it was practically a throw-away gag in the first place?
Constructive criticism is something that requires solicitation from and attention of the person who performed the action in the first place. Or else it's just nagging, and that shit does nothing but rile ill will for no fucking reason.

Okay sure, I agree with a few points. But if the original poster was here to read the comments (which is highly unlikely because this is an old repost) then it would have been perfectly reasonable to communicate how the person could have furthered the joke in a clever way. We can't blame commenter #1 for not knowing OP is nowhere to be found, if his original intent was to speak directly to OP.
If the comment's purpose was to be heard by an open forum for the enjoyment of others, then it is the same result as above except with a wider rang of people. I'm not trying to act like it was comedy gold or anything, but adding more humor to posts is the main purpose of the comment section.
If you are riled up by someone making a joke that you didn't find funny then either ignore it or thumb it down like the rest of us; there is no need to vocalize your discontent with a joke that 11 other people enjoyed. But hey, it's an open forum, so do as you want.

We can blame #1 for speaking to an audience that would likely not contain OP in any way.
My point was firstly that the way in which it was said seems like nit picking, and that the second point about it being constructive criticism, that you brought up, is flat-out incorrect.
Ahhh... but my tolerances are wildly jacked up at the moment, so I was probably just spinning my gears in the first place. I should go get something to eat and stop bein' such a bitch.
