Born in West Philadelphia- I spent most of my time at the playground near my house, playing some basketball. one day, a couple of punks started making trouble around my local haunts. I got in one fight, but that was enough to trouble my mother. She sent me to live with my aunt and uncle in Oregon. I took the entire journey in a rather shabby taxicab, and I recall pulling up to my new home around 7 or 8 p.m. The setting was so fancy one might call it regal, and finally, I felt like a princess.
