Try Norway, motorways here are single lane roads filled with holes and cracks. If you go out to the country then it's way worse, also since Norway is a winter country you practically drive on ice and snow 2/3 of the year. Snow if really fun to drive on though

the roads in phoenix are not bad, just not straight. You want bad roads look at montana.

Try going to norway once, then you will understand. Also I grew up and still lives out in the country and you have to drive minimum one hour to find a straight longer than 200 meters (still not flat, just straight)
