Honestly the simplest way for there to be balance in the force is for there to be total destruction of both factions........ Fuck the bullshit and measuring, just wipe the slate clean.

hmm no, not like this, Kreia as well an powerfull Jedi expierenced how it was to be cut off from the force entirely. They were both empty of the force, they where literall walking scares in the force, the jedi even such an great scar that it scared the Jedi council.

In theory the only Thing that has to be done is, is creating an scare in the force so great, that it scares every other planet on which life exists, the force is after all connected to any beeing and even every plannet. An Event creating such an powerfull Crescendo of suffering in the force, that it would force every oh so force sensetiv beeing up to the smallest beeings in it, to cut their Connection to the force to simply survive. Of course this plan was insane and the chances that force sensetiv beeings would come back after an century or so was great, but after all it was fabricaited from an extremly powerfull sith Lord who most likely lost partly their sanity as they cut forcefully disconected.

That's actually a great theory. But as you said it would also be near impossible and pointless because chances are, the scar would heal after a century or two

I know but they're supposed to be some of the wisest men in the galaxy..... how could they misconstrue something THAT obvious so horribly?!?! Or were they all just so focused on the light vs dark war that they forgot the definition of the word BALANCE?

Then the Jedi order was as arrogant as the Sith to think they were above the equation. Light and Dark cannot exist without each other. And IF they were to both be wiped out, there isn't a doubt in my mind that the force would find a way to resurface again. But it would be far more balanced and would take a long time to get THAT out of whack again......

Maybe Jedi and Sith don't have the same "weight" in terms of how their existance influences the force as a whole. Maybe the presence of one sith does more harm than the presence of one equally powerful jedi does good.
