Sorry, brief addendum here to my second point: I am not saying it is not unfair to the father to have him pay for a child he protested having. I am saying it the lesser evil as compared to having the child be brought up with only one parent's income to support it.

That a woman has the final say in the abortion matter does not deprive a man of his parental responsibility, as he ultimately could have chosen to prevent the conception of the child by applying contraception.

As for the child support moneym what we need to consider is that this is not a punishment for the father, this is a system to ensure the healthy upbringing of the child. That the mother and father are both at the very least contributing financially to the child's well-being.

Forgive me if I am somewhat unsympathetic to people's plights when they are caused by a refusal to make reasonable safety precautions.

The documentation thing is a bit extreme, I will admit, but modern justice is based on evidence, and if you want to avoid paying child support, you need to be able to provide evidence to a court.

Parental & financial responsibility go hand in hand,

If a woman refuses to get an abortion that you want she is refusing to allow you parental responsibility ( meaning you don't have half of the say over the fate of your unborn child, you have zero say, she is 100% in control of that child)

But then, despite your every protest she has the kid, and not only asks you to pay for it, but demands it & will take you to court to make it your legal obligation to pay

All of the obligations of a parent without any of the rights
