It was technically no longer his, so he'd have to re-adopt it.

its good that there are animalshelters, so abandond animals have a home! and they need some money for food, the building and the people working there. thats how they get the money. if u give the animals away for free, less of these shelters would exist. f.e. in thailand, there are almost no shelters. thats why u see a shitload of wild dogs roaming in the streets, full of deseases, missing legs, missing tails and shit. its good for the animals, bad for random bums who did not find someone to take care of the dog while he was doing his business and the dog got brought to the shelter.

your rage is just wrong!

No dude. Idk if you are from America, but here there is a difference between the pound and animal shelters. Animal shelters take care of animals as you said, but the pound takes any animal from any property that anyone complains about (as long as it doesn't have a collar) and euthanizes the the animal within a certain time period (different in each city or county, not sure which one has rights over it), usually 72 hours, and charges the fuck out of anyone who wants it back.

Well, the federal system doesn't have the resources to deal with it, so they pass the power onto the state. The state doesn't have the resources to deal with it, so they pass it onto the county. Like I said, here, I am not sure who has the power, but they provide the funding because no city wants loose domestic or wild animals running around the place, so they just get rid of them.

i live in thailand. and here are a lot of dogs on the street running wild. they get hit by cars, have broken bones and all kind of deseases. i think u dont know what u have untill u dont have it anymore. its good that people take wild dogs away from the street. they suffer and the people suffer too.
