It made me feel weird. If you pursue chemistry, they beat that shit into your brain from day one-- "do not drink from the glassware, do not smell the glassware, do not taunt the glassware... bonus points if you get that reference ". At least he seems a little hesitant about it.

Where I come from, almost every chemist and doctor has a separate set of glassware for drinking. It never touches anything but liquors, usually.

I'm a volunteer, so I might not even be working, and I'm usually not in an area accessible to visitors when I am. also security can throw you out if you impair a keeper's ability to concentrate, considering the effects one door left open could have

Also, if you think all the catholic church was doing was going on crusades and being dicks, you need to read some real history, and not some revisionist crap.

Sorry to party poop your party, but that is just poor history, my good man. There were multiple significant heretical splits in the first few centuries of Christianity. Just why do you think the councils came together to creedalize the faith? In light of certain misinterpretations, they felt the need to clarify the orthodox understanding of Christianity. Consider, as some examples, the Gnostics, Montanists, and Arians. Coptic (non-Nicene) Christians endure in Northeast Africa to this very day.

Although, yes, to be fair, the Protestant Reformation in the 15th and 16th centuries were the beginning of a divisive movement that would make the splits of the first few centuries look like a joke, considering that there are now over thousands of denominations in existence in the West.
