yeah, I found it silly when i moved to the U.S when everybody called white people racist since in Mexico they would constantly group people into categories, all the asians being chinese and all black people being dangerous, it is way more common in the city that I grew up in than anything I've ever encountered in the U.S.

That's what happens when you mix several groups of peoples, they eventually just become "people" and any new comers are just tossed into the melting pot. That's one thing I love here, granted there are individuals who still categorize people, but they tend to be secluded or away from population centers so its understandable.

You'd be surprised though, undeveloped nations or nations with small population diversities, can be the most racist. That would include all the countries in South America and Central America or any country around the world for that matter. I don't think Americans and Europeans from developed nations appreciate how far they have gone in terms of racial equality compared to nations around the world.

I have either spoke to people or have friends that are from Mexico, South America, The Philippines, Africa, and the Middle East, they all said something similar when asked how "mixed" they are over there. They would say that they would be avoided or shunned at times, others were just ignored as if they were a nuisance (Anybody not from "there"). I have seen that a few times in the U.S, but its usually when someone from the city tries to do something in the country and the locals are a bit weary or downright dislike it (new developments, large land purchase, etc.).

Other than that we have our fair share or racism and bigotry, but those individuals are far and few between. It is sad that its overlooked by many across the world in population centers that have come to embrace various cultures and ideologies to make on big melting pot. I think many things are overlooked in places that are not "stuck in the past" to some extent.
