I messed up when it came to remembering his fluff. From the overwatch website: "After the Omnic Crisis, government officials gifted the Australian omnium and the surrounding area to the omnics that had nearly destroyed their country, hoping to establish a long-term peace accord. This arrangement permanently displaced Mako Rutledge and a large number of the Outback's residents, a scattered collection of survivalists, solar farmers, and people who just wanted to be left alone."

i remembered "solar farmers" and mixed that up with roadhog. Either way, it implies he was a "small town" guy and mechanic or machinist sounds about right when you think about it.

But on the same breath "Adapting to his environment, he donned a mask and took to the broken highways of the Outback on his ramshackle chopper. Little by little, his humanity was forgotten. The last vestiges of Mako faded away and the ruthless killer Roadhog was born." and keep in mind that shit hit the fan 20 years before our version of roadhog. And given that its a wasteland means there is plenty of junk around the place, as well as how motorcylces are great on gas.

I think its more of a "he changes his persona after..." than more just building on it. but it doesnt state either way so Im fine with however it land.

I do want more roadhog and junkrat fluff.

A quick google search gives me this;

"Roma (Gypsies) originated in the Punjab region of northern India as a nomadic people and entered Europe between the eighth and tenth centuries C.E. They were called "Gypsies" because Europeans mistakenly believed they came from Egypt."

So, there you go.

I mean being generally entertaining film and scratching the sci-fi horror itch that we all want with a high budget film with good actors and nice effects was pretty good. But please shit on it forever because it wasn't as good as "alien 3 -the dog alien".

Alien 3 had potential to be great, but FOX fucking studios ruined it. That is why I hate it the most of all the Alien films, because it could have been amazing.

"Good" actors and decent effects can't save an anemic plot line and bland characters. The whole story is rushed and the acting is par the course at best.
