IPhone is for peoples who want it easy and are restricted to many things.
Android is a mix of an iPhone and has some capabilities of windows. (Emulators and unzipping and crap) Depends what you want/need

Thats the million dollar question, I have both and play my xbox far more. The PS3 has slightly better graphics, but the only way you will notice is if you have a 1080p TV. And it has a built in bluray player. As far as online play, you get what you pay for, the PS3 is free online, but terrible compared to Xbox Live and with some games you get early release to extra content. If you play single player, then maybe get a PS3 if you play online, get an Xbox. And the xbox controller is far more comfortable to hold. Each console has its own exclusive games. PS3 has God of War, Uncharted etc. Xbox has Gears of War, Halo etc. So Its all personal preference. Don't listen to the fan boys who say their console is better. Its up to you. (I was diehard PS2 fan and was against the xbox but now I'm the opposite) And one more thing, rumor has it the next generation of consoles is coming out in a year, so if you waited over 5-6 years for a 360 or PS3 it might be worth just waiting for a PS4 or Xbox 720 (or whatever they decide to name them) but they will be super expensive when released and most likely full of glitches. I think you should get a PS3. If you think about the long term the exclusive PS3 games are better and you could always get the Xbox games on PC. Since you've had the PS2 for so long the controls will be familiar to you. Plus you get Blu-ray and a better processor.

I have both a ps3 and xbox and honestly prefer the ps3. The online play is free of charge, which is a nice plus.

Also, in regards to Assassin's Creed 3, there are bonus missions available only on the PS3 version.

Get yourself an xbox.
Literally, the only major thing PS3 has over us is Blu-Ray.
Sure you have to pay for Xbox's online but still.

I like the ps3 better. its a matter of what you want, xbox has a better online, but you also have to pay for it, ps3 has higher processing power and blu ray. It boiled down to exclusive games for me, and that i had a playstation my whole life
