I'm pretty sure if a kid says "I want to drive trains" then the education system may not be the ideal place for that profession.  In Denmark, the educational system has 10 years of basic schooling and then you're free. The popular choice of secondary schooling is a 3 year education usually referred to as "the gymnasium", which I took. Now, there was this girl in my class who wanted to be a train driver, and said she needed to get through this in order to be qualified for that job. If you want to drive trains, you'll need more than the basic education. I'd wager it's a tad more specialised than a normal school, though. The education of which I speak, or the education to which the OP's post references? Indeed. That was my point though, as a response to your original statement that [...] "if a kid says "I want to drive trains" then the education system may not be the ideal place for that profession", because apparently it's a requirement. | ||
