I have my qualms with Apple, despite owning an Ipod. I like OSX, and iOS, the software is prestigious (guitar band, itunes, etc.) To each their own, I never advise anyone to buy a mac. Simply due to price. I can build you the same computer, except it won't be white, for a grand cheaper. And yes, all apple software included. But despite all that, I have nothing against it's users, designers, programmers. My beef is with the corporate and marketing ass holes making students (or parents) believe they are getting better quality and robbing them blind at the same time.

I don't think you have rendered on a fully built pc. Ever overclocked a mac? Hard as fuck to do. Granted, Apples' OS have a tendency to have better software, but when you are using adobe or C++, what have you, OS begins to not really matter. Again, if you are doing basic shit for school on your parent bought mac, then ya, you'll love it, video editing, music compiling, all that jazz. OSX is great for that. But you get in to top of the line shit, its segregated. And it goes to preference, because software will be top of the line no matter what.
