They are considering Army Special Forces, but when compared to Green Berets, SEALs, Force Recon, SWCC, UDT & ParaRescue, they're pretty much beefed up infantry. They do have their significant accolades on the field, but they run in large groups whereas the aforementioned units run in smaller squads.

I'd have to politely argue here. The Green Berets(SFOD-D) are technically the only US "special forces," because it's in their name. Rangers, SEALs, Marine Force Recon and Air Force Pararescue are all considered Special Operations units, to name only a few. Furthermore, while the SEALs are trained in HALO insertion, the Rangers are the only fighting unit of the US military that are specialized to airdrop into almost any combat zone, get behind enemy lines, and carry out tactical missions in said field. Because of that, I feel that a lot of the time the rangers don't receive Tier-1 status where it's due.

And I am forced to rebut with facets of SEAL training requirements. They are trained in both HAHO and HALO jumping, and like you said with Rangers, can airdrop into any combat zone, although their specialty is clandestine amphibious insertions, their individual teams all have one area that they excel at. For example, Team 6 (DEVGRU) is the predominant counter-terrorist cell whereas teams 1 & 2 are SVD, and spend most of their time under water operating mini-subs. SEALs are constantly training, from the day they earn their trident to the day the resign. Tier-1 status is reserved for the most combat efficient operators, which is why you don't see SWCC and UDT in the lists, groups that have proven themselves tenfold in extremely adverse conditions where others would have been blown asunder are on the lists. While it's not impossible, what are the chances of 4 Rangers performing the same GOPLAT OP as 4 SEALs, and being able to complete their mission with 0 KIA/MIA? Slim and none, considering they are not trained in that area of expertise. Rangers operate in larger groups and are more organized than standard infantry, that is what they are good at, overwhelming tactical force in slightly smaller numbers. I'm not saying Rangers are bad, I'm just saying they're a more badass version of basic Army infantry.

Alright true story for a moment, and even though it's confusing at first it has something to do wtth a bible.

So me an a bunch of my friends came together at one point and played Dungeons and Dragons, I myself was a Warlock, not remembering the race but it was a kind of demon, and in the game I was on the run from a religious order who only says all other kind of magic but theirs is a sin and must be destroyed. Long story short we meet a little patrol of guards and quickly kills them, I melted a face X), and I found a bible on one of them, not having any use for it I threw it over my shoulder and it flew over at one of my friends. It struck him and I shit you not, I rolled the dice and it turned out the bible dealt 4-5 damage to his total life.

hfw as he threw the bible back but dealt 2 damage.
