Coursers are kinda weird, because we're kind of given conflicting info on what exactly they are. We're told that they are designed to be emotionless killing machines, stronger and more powerful than a human. And yet Justin Ayo talks about synths being considered 'eligible' for training as a Courser, implying they're simply exceptional example of synths (why would a synths specifically designed to be a Courser not even be considered eligible for their training?). And if it's the latter, then they're no different than a well-armed and well-trained human soldier.

Arguably, you should try to stop the production of synths, but not try to exterminate the ones that are already here. They are just innocent bystanders.

If you can disable them from being controlled then by all means i am for it, but while Its still possible for them to be activated and kill people they cannot be left at large.

Except they're really not that more advanced than a normal human. We're not talking about an actual machine here; the synths are still just made of human tissues with human brains.

Due to them being manufactured they could easily remake them to be more advanced, we can see that with Coursers they have already thought of weaponizing them and using them for policing and military.

you could just see it as the next stage of human evolution. our bodies and minds have reached a point where the next logical leap could be to start becoming machines. i mean if we can already make ones that are indistinguishable from humans in all forms then maybe transference of consciousness is next.

also, if these synths dont know they are synths, why would they try and kill all humans seeing as they think they are humans. the slippery slope pointed out in things like AI or I, robot depend on the robots being charged with the protection of humans, not being told they are humans themselves.

As seen with Danse they can be alright if they do not know they are synths but we are looking at it from a larger perspective, not on the individual level. In the future they will weaponize their synths, they have already proved they are thinking of it with their Coursers. Also the institute can control these synths, should they wish it they can charge them to attack those that oppose them. To create a whole other being is something relegated outside of the ethical side of science and for good reason. To create something is to have absolute power over them, and with absolute power comes absolute corruption. The Institute will go sour and destroy everyone if they deem it necessary if this power, which is why they shouldn't have it.

TL;DR It would most likely lead to another apocalypse that would destroy mankind, again.

Tl;DR They seem ok now but down the line they will be a big problem, better to stop them now for the greater good.
