What, is that like the end of the Genocide route? I've only ever done neutral and pacifist.

There's kind of a decision at the end of a Geno route where Chara asks if you'll cooperate with him in destroying your world, and by extension, your save file. Refusing nets you that face.

Re-opening the game and letting it sit there for ten minutes gives you the option to do the tainted runs.

Yeah.
When you complete genocide, Chara destroys that world. When you start the game up again, you get a black screen. After waiting ten minutes Chara will let you reset the game, but you have to sell your soul to them. And during the ending of true pacifist Frisk turns into Chara right at the end.

So you doublecast Curaga and Ultima on the same turn? Or you use Mix to create a Final Elixir like a real man. Put Rikku on Comrade overdrive so when your other two get fucked over she'll fill her bar.
Personally, when Magic was needed (it wasn't, come late game), I had Tidus on White Magic doublecasting Ultima/Curaga, Wakka on Black Magic doublecasting Flare, and RIkku on support, all with their Celestial Weapons. Swap into Yuna when you need the Aeons to take a hit or want to gamble on Zanmato.

I'm a long way into FFX, finished the Monster Arena, all Dark Aeons, maxed the Sphere Grid and now I'm putting off Penance because it was my dream as a kid to beat it, FFX was my favorite game as a kid but I was never dedicated enough to take on the superbosses. That dream is the last shred of my childhood left; I'm 22 and putting it off will make that dream last a little longer
