magnorph (01/20/2015) [-] are there any websites i can read these on? ive always wanted to get into spiderman comicbooks but i dont have the money spiderman has always been my favorite superhero, and not for the "oh im a kid and i love spiderman" ive just always loved the story for his character and his...non-ridiculousness (sorry for the late replies) Well Comixology (a digital comic website) sells volumes and individual comics of these. Grim Hunt's about a fiver (I'm British, so it's probably about $7) and American Son's £5.99. Grim Hunt - www.comixology.co.uk/Spider-Man-Grim-Hunt/digital-comic/27657?ref=c2l0ZS9saXN0L2Rlc2t0b3AvZ3JpZExpc3QvQ29sbGVjdGVkRWRpdGlvbnM American Son - www.comixology.co.uk/Spider-Man-American-Son/digital-comic/26591?ref=c2l0ZS9saXN0L2Rlc2t0b3AvZ3JpZExpc3QvQ29sbGVjdGVkRWRpdGlvbnM If you don't want to pay for them though, I'm sure you can find torrents or what have you. If you really want to get into Spidey though, good jumping on points are either Brand New Day #546 onwards , Big Time #648 onwards or the new series that just started last year. If you want help with what order to read them in or anything, drop me a message. #161 -
themissionary (01/20/2015) [-] Can you give me any information on the issue or title so i can read this comic for myself? Grim Hunt (Amazing Spider-Man #634-#637) is the story where the image in the original compilation comes from - it's pretty badass so a definite recommendation though you might want to do a little back-reading. American Son (Amazing Spider-Man #595-##599) is the story where Norman Osborn gets it handed to him. Anything else just let me know #128 -
anon (01/20/2015) [-] Kaine straight up burns his hand print into peoples faces. Kinda similar. Kaine is also 100000X times more badass then Pete too! I dunno, it's difficult to tell at times due to hose 90s Clone Saga stories. I'm pretty sure they've gone between the ideas of either burning the face or tearing the skin off. I usually think that Kaine just tears since he has the sticking powers that Pete does. Burning doesn't make much sense, especially when he does it through gloves. | ||

| Yep, like I said the build-up is slow. During the show you find out about Spike's past through flashbacks and encounters. Little by little you get an idea what has happened and it get's revealed during the final episodes. After finishing the show, I thought it was a really unique and amazing anime. Though, if you didn't enjoy any of the episodes so far, I can't tell you if you would feel the same after finishing it. >>#729 I think there's a very deliberate pacing in Cowboy Bebop -- Spike's story isn't revealed so much because, as the audience, he's our "vessel" to explore the universe and its characters. He's immediately likeable, but of course very mysterious, and so that mystery keeps you concentrated on the end while each of the other mains get their time in the light. Every episode follows a tried and true formula that I don't see in a whole lot of other anime, with a very specific build-up and usually a payoff by means of an important conversation between characters and/or an exciting, well-directed action scene. This is usually the point in the episode when the music reaches its greatest height, too ("Bad Dog No Biscuits" in episode 2 and "Elm" from the YouTube video). And if you can't get into the series, there's always the movie. A very concentrated hour-and-a-half of watching the crew in action with a great soundtrack. | ||

| Yea, Bebop is mostly episodic with little story development, but when there is development its amazing. You can't deny "Ballad of Fallen Angels" wasn't a good episode. I'll admit, I'm not a big fan of episodic shows either, but Bebop just has that distinct style. The last few episodes alone made the whole series worth it for me. Really? I don't think I get this series at all... I watched that episode and thought "What's happening? Oh yeah... It's that random scene at the start of the first episode... That's quite... random?" I just watched it and thought that there was so much here that wasn't explained but could have been. Why should I care what happened to Spike all those years ago? We weren't told anything or given any build up. Yep, like I said the build-up is slow. During the show you find out about Spike's past through flashbacks and encounters. atma (01/19/2015) [-] And I think that's probably the only "filler" episode in the entire series? Hard to give the entire show a bad rap by means of one sub-story meant to lighten things up a bit. | That's not the weird part. The lobster turns into a mutant organism which crawls around the spaceship like a facehugger, and just bites everyone to infect them. Spike gets rid of the fridge by chucking it out the airlock (while he's holding on to a rail, so obviously he doesn't get thrown out), and Ed ends up eating the facehugger thing, and that's it. #679 -

| Jak and Daxter has better atmosphere and story, but R&C has better gameplay and much more variety from game to game. Additionally, Jak and Daxter both have better characterization than either Ratchet or Clank, but the R&C universe has many more memorable characters, even when only comparing PS2 titles. While it's probably better that the Jak and Daxter series didn't continue, I do kind of wish that it had so its universe could have been expanded upon. You know what I would have loved? A comic series. Wouldn't have to be an on-going title, but maybe a 4-5 issue mini-series would have been great for me. But I'm fine where Naughty Dog left the series - it didn't need anything more added, and although the X racing game was good, the Lost Frontier was a waste of time. | ||
