no, it's a different person on a different couch.

Not all couches look the same. Racist.

I'm sorry for being so intolerant of the variations in common furnishings. Forgive me for my evil ways.

Yeah, I would have to agree. It would be a really interesting experiment, though. Personally, the most glaring hole with it is that not all intelligent people are fast thinkers. Some work through things slowly, checking and rechecking their work. It's like nervous ticks that are often associated with great intelligence, though are most likely caused by some sort of social anxiety, or something else to do with an individuals personality instead of their I.Q.

Although, in my opinion, describing it at a coincidence implies that there is no association or correlation at all, which could very well be the case. That could just be my view, though, and I could very well be wrong on that.

Its less of which coincidence, and more of which correlated attributes that aren't necessarily causal. There may happen to be a correlation between a person's IQ level and their hand writing, or how much sleep they get, but the two attributes do not necessarily cause one another.
User avatar #160 - volleys (08/17/2013) [-]
Thats what I'm saying. Association ≠ Causation

User avatar #57 - konradkurze (08/17/2013) [-]
well not everyone should be given the right to carry a gun, only those who are, or can be made, responsible, should have them so its more likely to be proven that if one has to use it then there would be no doubt that they only did so knowing they truly had to use it and use it properly

just like home defence, if the bad guy doesnt back the fuck off, you can put one in his leg to protect yourself without killing him
User avatar #79 - volleys (08/17/2013) [-]
You're making it sound much worse than it actually is. To carry concealed you have to pass a more in depth background check, criminal background check, and get finger printed while the sheriff of your county has to approve it, though it does vary by state. But bare in mind that even if a criminal wanted to carry concealed none of these are stopping him/her, they are doing it illegally anyway. For me personally to guarantee ultimate safety I will carry concealed to prevent against the unknown, and ultimately that is my decision and not yours. You decide your decisions and I will decide mine.
