why do you think that? honestly starting think none of them are worth joining since all of them seem really focused on one point and don't care about anything else. BoS- Horde Tech RR- Help Synths way more than they will people Inst.- Surface is dead, focus on new tech MM- Perfect idea IMO but don't seem capable of doing something big like other factions could do

Yeah, the Institute is 100% the bad guy. After the Saviors of the Commonwealth, the BoS win, it's revealed that the Mayor is a Synth, and either he leaves, or you get in a shootout with him, killing him, and he drops a synth component.

Siding with BoS sounds bad considering how they were compared to 3 though. I know Lyon's chapter was considered treason so by technicality they don't count. They don't seem to care about anything other than hording technology to "protect people from themselves" but they end up using the same technology to further their own goals and harming more people to do so. It just doesn't seem like there is much of a very good option choice for the end of the game. Really wish there was a choice like Fallout NV where you could just eliminate all other factions and rule the area yourself. Minutemen are alright but they don't seem like they could get the job done when it comes down to something really big like the other factions are capable of

Why not create a whole new face and name for them, why take another's?
In a post-apocalyptic world, random people go unnoticed.
However, people acting different from their usual self is very noticeable. Which is why synths don't even last a day in Goodneighbor.

Railroad might as well be powerless, they can't do dick.
And he has plenty reason to lie to you. Especially since, if you decide you don't like him, you fucking nuke his entire compound.

Power wise they ain't shit I thought they would be at least decent from your encounter with them in Fallout 3 since they helped a synth escape all the way to D.C. Still though, they do have synth memories replaced and I think they get facial reconstructions for them or do they not? Still brings me to ask why though. They say they don't care but then they are replacing people? I can understand replacing important people but replacing nobodies like Art, Sammy and a few others makes me feel like it more Railroad than anything. Also is the mayor of Diamond City a synth? I haven't put a whole lot of time in the game and it bugs me to find out.
