oh when I said that I mean I'm about 94 pounds. I don't feel like I have much hope for myself growing since I'm 5'0". Maybe gain weight from muscle mass, but I've been stuck at 5'0" for the last few years.

Being small is good sometimes though. If I get stronger, what that means is I'll not only be able to fit in smaller spaces, but I can do most physical tasks

If you went up against a Scizor or Metagross when your Flareon was down, you'd be in deep shit. Might want to rethink some things.

Was an old plan. Haven't really thought to revise it in a long time. Was from HGSS era. I only relooked at Flareon solely because of Flare Blitz. I'll rethink it some other time. Thanks though!

If that's how you want to play, go for it.
I'm not an expert either, but an Eevee team would never be good for anything but coverage and maybe special walling. Flareon would be the strongest, yes, and Jolteon would be a glass cannon, but for the most part Eevees are meant for defending.

When I drew up plans, I had Flareon, Jolteon, and Espeon as my damage dealers, Vaporeon and Umbreon on major defense, and Leafeon as a good mix of physical wall and physical damage. Can't remember much else about it though. It's been a long time.

Didn't know that, but the point remains. You'd be better off using a Toxic Orb if you're going to use Flareon at all. Personally I'd rather use Infernape due to speed, and with Toxic Orb and Flare Blitz, Flareon wouldn't last more than a few turns, especially if you don't get OHKOs for every attack.

Personally, I don't play much competitively, so I wouldn't know what people think is really good. My flareon setup was mostly so I can have (and I know this is cheesy as fuck) an eevee team. Flareon was meant to be a major bruiser. Otherwise, if I played to win....I don't even know what I'd have on my team. Flare Blitz just make Flareon much more useful than it used to be.

Two things:
-Fire Pokemon can't get burns, from any source. A Flame Orb would take up a wasted item slot.
-Burns halve the physical damage that a Pokemon puts out, so even if you did use a Flame Orb and it worked on Flareon, it's damage output would be the exact same as if it hadn't gotten burned.
User avatar
#22 - vleasian (03/14/2015) [-]
I didn't know that first point, but the second point, Guts negates the halving of attack from burns.

Flame orb would activate the Guts ability, which is a 50% boost to Flareon's Attack. Dig and HP Grass are what I had and they worked out well. HP Grass mostly for covering weaknesses.

Not when you've literally got feet to go until you win the superbowl and have the best running back in the league. Foolish call, there's no defending that play.
