Lol, and how they have the confidence to accept your leave ? damnit, companies like that are shitty, and I'll do the same if I were you, I'll just leave or raise my payment.
the bright side, engineering jobs are available and always there will be demand hopefully

12 projects at once, jesus christ, where the fuck is the project manager !
Yeah, sounds sucks, thats why I decide hopefully in the end of this year to abandon the Tcom and head directly to renewable energy, its much easier, less headache, promising field , its like a trends now and everyone try to invest on it.

Renewable is big out here but requires too many damn certifications. Also yeah, where were they.... OH YEAH complaining they lost blueprints. No but seriously, the field guys didn't even bother with the PMs after a while because they knew I had all the info, I drafted it, I made the labels, I did bids, estimation, RFPs, BOMs, Meetings, Revisions, Blueprints( Design, numbering, formatting, and plotting), CAD, Revit, In field estimation, OM manuals, and the list goes on. Even after I quit I got field calls from people who realized the foreman, PM, or Reg. Supervisor did't know it. They just paid me jack shit to do it so I made a bluff and got so mad I went through with it.

Yes, the market suck for telecoms, too much headache, responsibility compared to the salaries.
#47 - vincernio (05/06/2015) [-]
Right? I was in Colorado doing it for a year getting paid crap for money and managing 12 projects at once. I told them I wanted more money or I would move to AZ and I lost.

For frame of reference for arizona's telecom market, or for those who think about joining into the logistics/ upper areas of telecom: I am personal friends with one of the CEOs of a large fiber company out here. I even spent thanksgiving and new years with the guy and his wife; and there are NO open positions in my field still.

True, never looked like that upon handover, obviously the end-user will not accept it, but you know where the problem, the maintenance team or who operate the NOC Or maintain the TR, BDF, backbone risers cables, etc , unless there are a maintenance contract, they'll fuck things up ( tagging, labeling, wire managements, etc. )

Pic related, I'm actually preparing now a RFP for a new project.

#45 - vincernio (05/06/2015) [-]
That's true, labeling is a big issue especially when you label by one and they want a second to read from then the maint. contract comes up.

Also very nice, I wish I could get back into the world of tcom, but the market sucks out here for it :/
