I thumb you up. I'm just saying his quote is stupid because no one "dreams" of discovering a new physical theory or equation. People dream of flying cars, and space travel, things that will be created by engineers. Plus, one could say that physicists are just the Oompa-Loompas of Mathematics.

I guess, but when Einstein came up with the theory, he wasn't thinking about making super weapon that could wipe out an entire city, the engineers created that. It is like the Physicists who created thermodynamics in the 1800s, compared to the engineers who created the internal combustion engine. The physicists discover things, engineers, create things. One requires a lot more creativity than the other.

Yeah, you're right, the scientist come up with the theory and the Engineers put that theory into practice. Engineering does require a lot more creativity while Physicists mostly depend on logical thinking. In the end, Engineers do heavily rely on Physicists.

All of this does make Sheldon's quote valid, even though he put it in a rather arrogant manner.

I'm only saying this because I don't think the down votes were necessary :3

Nope. I guess if Sheldon Cooper ever said that to me, I would ask him what the hell he has ever created.

I guess your comment sort of backed up that "quote" also. He says how Engineers "execute the vision of those who think and dream". You mentioned how Einstein discovered the science behind the nuke, relating to "think and dream" while the Engineers executed his theory

Engineers innovate more than scientists. Scientists come up with theories. Engineers put them into practice. Einstein did not create the nuke, he discovered the science behind it.
