Please refrain from making vague statements such as bows are the "best weapons". You should clarify what they are best at. If you mean using it as a tool to survive for over a year in the wilderness, yes. Otherwise, you can just bring a rifle to hunt with and enough ammo to last you up to that point. It also goes without saying that bow's are not the best weapon in combat and warfare.
