The biggest difference is Lin's Sato-V comes with a mounted .50 caliber machine gun with Auto targetting so if anyone gets near the vehicle WITHOUT permission from Lin it'll unleash a wave of gunfire.

This alternate universe is incredibly ****** up.

Lin gets off to police brutality. She thinks all criminals are worthless scum and she has all the right to cause as much harm to them as possible WITHOUT killing them.

Toph hated this about her. Toph was rough with disobidient criminals but Lin took it to the extreme almost to the point where Lin would only think about work.

Chishi took advantage of this by teleporting the real Toph to the spirit world and disguising herself as Toph to convince Lin to retire from police work to become a mother

This would then lead to Lin's frequent stress related panic attacks because she cannot be bored. ever. it gives her the shakes she CONSTANTLY needs to be doing something productive whether its pampering Mako or curbstomping Triad.

Without killing them? a .50 cal machine gun seems counter productive to that.

It gets really ******* bad. Asami thinks the easiest way to control the people of Republic City is to use Lin as a mouth piece. Whatever she tells Chishi to whisper in her ear Lin regurgitates to the entire populace and they all mindless agree.

Asami starts registering firearms to all the non bending citizens in the city because Lin told them

Amon and Hiroshi made a deal. Amon offered a lifetime of protection from the Equalist forces once the new world order began (which was a lie that Hiroshi saw thru but took a nessessary risk by making a back-up plan in case Amon planned to betray him) in exchange Hiroshi would build the Equalists weapons such as primitive versions of firearms and Anti-Bending collars which turn off all bending as long as they're around your neck

The collars can only be removed with a special key. If you force the collar off you will be electrocuted. If you force the collar off too many times it will explode.

The collar sounds like a mix of sea prism devices in One Piece, and the a'dam collars from Wheel of Time.

Asami has eyes and ears all over the city so she pretends that she doesn't know where the Equalists and her father are located to fool her father into believing she isn't smarter than he is.

She easily replicated a small handful of collars and decided when the Avatar was ready to come to Republic City, if she refused to bow to her whim she'd be forced to wear one

Took about 5 minutes for Korra to open her mouth and voiced her opinion about the situation
