I'm American, I understand the issue everyone has with the nuke but at the time it was clearly (debatable) the best course of action. The Japanese civilians were brainwashed into thinking they would be brutally tortured if they were caught. they would have fought to their last person. The effects of radiation are the only thing they can complain about, which i'm okay with. Americans should also be allowed to complain about 9/11

u actually dint win the WW2, the USSR holds the most responsibility for the end of WW2, the red army closed ( with the help of other European allied country's) on berlin, after that hitler realised that the war was lost, so he committed suicide so he wouldn't be caught. which ended the war in europe (thats where 90% of the war took place) NOT japan

The Red Army wouldn't of survived without aid from the United States. The Russians had completely stripped their infrastructure. Russian troops were driving American Dues and half's burning American refined fuel eating American K rations and dropping bombs made from American nitrates. The US did more than their share of winning the war in Europe

Yes the Russians did build their own tanks and their own weapons but the Russian Main battle tank the T-34 was designed by an American and the factories they were built in were built by Henry Ford and no the Russians did not cultivate their own crops. Up until about 20 years ago it took the entire Russian Army to bring in the harvest because the Government owned all the trucks and all the rail roads

im not going to get in an argument over it with you but i personally believe that the weapons should not have been exposed to the public. This was a time when they were just created and the usage of it cause many other countries to go in a frenzy for it. Im not saying the future would necessarily be better if we didnt nuke japan but it very well may have been. Using the nuke may have "saved american lives" but at the expense of hundreds of thousands of japanese civilians.



The real question is do you value an american's life more than that of a japanese person. I say they're equal in value.
