who the hell cares? if a repost makes it to the top page SO MANY TIMES its because NEW USERS HAVEN'T SEEN THEM YET. quit bitching about reposts and being a selfish ass, not everyone has been to this site since it was founded.

Funnyjunk is like a museum for funny content. I don't go to a museum to see the same painting in 12 locations. Regardless which entrance a person uses, they should not find the Mona Lisa after every entrance. Funnyjunk is a collection of content. Content is meant to be submitted once and thumbed up if deemed funny, and down if considered junk: junk meaning not funny, not appropriate, or a repost. It doesn't matter if 10 users haven't seen a particular post, if one user has than the post is already in the site's databanks and does not need to be there again. If a newer user hasn't seen a lot of old content, they should scour the site to find content that was considered funny.

And as an extension to that usual statement, I want to add that the five word minimum description rule was added to allow users to search for content by reasonable means. It provides users a more concrete chance of searching for content based on what is contained within the post itself, instead of hoping that the poster wasn't an assclown who just used an unrelated tag, like, "Screw tags" or a description that has nothing to do with the post, such as "Stop bugging me for a description"

Face it, you repost to try to get to the front page, not to make people laugh or spread around the funny. You're some pathetic little boy whose greatest accomplishment of making it to the front page is a meager gold star sticker on the lower left hand corner of the toilet in the girls bathroom in the Museum of The World Most Recognizable, Memorable, and Substantial Achievement's Since the Dawn of Man.
I post OC to make people laugh, that's all. I've made front page, good for me. Every green thumb is someone who laughed. Something I created brought happiness to someone else if only for a fleeting moment. If anyone laughs at your posts, they're not laughing because of you, they're laughing at you, you unoriginal selfish fuck.

The repost argument is like arguing with a religious person, its pointless, no matter how much you argue your "opinions" why reposts are bad, or what your unofficial feelings for what this site should be. You can gang up with everyone on this site that bitch and moans about repost and still get no where. It'll always be just that, bitching and moaning.

And you'll be a pathetic loser who doesn't have a funny bone in his body. You're comparing an issue that can be judged based on reactions and feelings to items that can be seen visually, heard, or read to something that is based on direct reference to something that could once be seen or heard but is no longer within the physical realm and is incapable of being completely grasped.
Now there is a difference between you and other reposters. That being, that you're a liar. You say your reason for reposting is to allow new users to see decent content. Your real reason for it is to gain some sense of acknowledgement and accomplishment over a system of green internet thumbs made possible by someone else's HTML coding, while using the ideas and products of labor of someone else without their permission or acknowledgment. It is pretty pathetic. In the end, you've achieved nothing on your own and any possible success you feel is simply you lying to yourself, probably because mommy and daddy vamp didn't hug you enough.
The fact of the matter is that this site is so much better when shleps like you happen to take a collective break from polluting the site with your presence and your ridiculous, self-righteous statements that serve only to justify your need for attention and appreciation and allow the truly hard working individuals that come up with original ideas designed to make other people experience at least a brief moment of joy or happiness to be showcased untarnished because of the absence of the posts of mindless people such as yourself.
And how about an English lesson. That last sentence is a periodic sentence. That is, a sentence loaded with clauses that has a main thought that remains incomplete until the final clause.
