if you pitch helicopter 30 degrees the force from the rotors will push it forward further from the hill. Helicopters land by tilting slightly backwards so they decrease their forward velocity, when it reaches near zero, your back landing gears should be nearly touching helipad. After that you decrease rpm and pitch onto horizontal position.

Staying perfectly put is even trickier because simple nudge to any direction will make the machine sway that way... also hovering helicopters can be litterally blown away from their position if the wind is strong enough, so pilots have to compensate for that too...

TL;DR it's real damn hard to keep machine that big and complicated at one place even when hovering near helipad... that guy is absolutely godlike
