Superman wins? Goku can destroy the sun, thus making supermans powers dwindle quite radically
User avatar #119 - uratan (02/13/2013) [-]
If goku destroyed the sun the blast would destroy the earth, killing him. Still can't breath in space.
#120 - noobiereaper (02/13/2013) [-]
Why would Guko die from that? The destructive force would take atleast 8 minutes to reach earth in the first place, and if the earth would be destroyed, he can teleport to another system / to the kayious or whatever.
User avatar #123 - uratan (02/14/2013) [-]
So you're saying Goku would be perfectly fine with the knowledge he just killed everyone on the earth? Not to mention Superman could have simply flew to another sun, his speed was told to be a maximum of 17,000,000,000 km/h. Now since the speed of light is 1,079,252,850 km/h, that means that superman flies at maximum over 16x the speed of light. He could get to the next star in about 3 months time.

Of course that is implying that Goku could even destroy the sun. Destroying a planet is one thing. To destroy a sun you'd basically need to cause the supernova, which would take around 10 Octillion Megatons of force. (1 with 28 zeroes behind it). The lovely people at screwattack did the math for me, and found that Goku's Maximum destructive output is around 34.7 Sextillion Megatons. (just put 21 zeroes behind the seven and get rid of the decimal). In short, he would completely drain himself of power to almost destroy the sun. All the while superman could just sit inside the sun itself to power up to an infinite level of power.
#126 - noobiereaper (02/14/2013) [-]
I lost it at "megatons of force" lol xD No point in continuing this. Either do this with science or with extrapolating known things from the books, dont try and mix them >.<

Superman draws his power from the sun, Goku draws his power from desperation. So it has differing results.

Actually he is right. The way the Earth formed, along with all the other planets, is that all the small asteroids would clump together because each of the asteroid's gravity would attract to each other. then it would be one huge chain reaction and larger pieces would clump together, creating a planet. Astronauts discovered this when they had a clear bag of salt in zero gravity and the grains of salt would clump together forming larger grains of salt.
Fun fact: The Earth gets 100-200 tons heavier each day due to falling space debris/dust.

Another fun fact; our moon is a part of another planet. When the Earth was just forming, before the dinosaurs, another planet collided with earth and a piece of that planet got caught in Earth's orbit.

You'd need a fuck ton of cheese AND excavating equipment to fill up the moon.
User avatar #153 - uratan (03/24/2012) [-]
but you could use the minerals you excavate from the moon, and the moon is already in a locked orbit, so you wouldn't have to mess with that. Only problem you'd face is the fact cheese is a lot less dense than rock. So if you want tides to be the same you'd have to make it a lot bigger.
