Everyone has shitty experiences with light autistic spectrum things it seems. Yeah man, thanks for letting me vent. It's good to talk to people who have gone through similar shit.

Teasing was horrible for me in primary (I think that's the UK equivalent of elementary? Or is it middle school?) but I learned that the teachers gave 0 fucks about bullying in High school. To explain- Seriously, most A-band high schools here (meaning like 60% get A's in their highers) are nothing but exam factories. No one learns as much, horrific uni drop out rates but because they keep house prices up in the 'catchment areas' the local councils hush everything that goes down in them up. Knives, drugs and especially bullying. Nothing was reported to the council so It didn't get put in official statistics. This though, meant I could get away with slapping people who fucked with me really badly. Shouldn't have been like that, but what the fuck could I do?

It's a real shame at the moment, I used to have a bunch of nice friends. For me It was a mix of sort-of autistic tendency people are just regular but a bit strange. Something that goes along with aspergers/autism (especially for females, under-diagnosis and under-treatment is more prevalent with girls) is depression. Like 50% one time, 70% recurring. I just don't have the energy to anything with this bullshit.

I don't think it's much to do with political correctness, it has been studied to be not so different to autism. The scale makes sense in some ways, but when 'Autistic spectrum' is down on paper, it doesn't specify if you are dealing with someone like me who is just not good with eye contact, or pure 100% chris-chan sonicu crippling autism. That could be a real flaw for careers and shit potentially.

Teachers were the fucking worst for me. I never said or did anything out of line, but people constantly thought I had an 'attitude'. One Irish bitch (who was dubbed 'the leprechaun' from the moment she started being a cunt to everyone) decided I 'just had an attitude' based on no eye contact, short sentences to answer and purple hair (nigga, what?). Leprechaun refused to teach me for half the year before the head of the department caught wind of it. I nearly failed the subject that year because she refused to help me 90% of the time.

I have to agree, putting "high-functioning autistic" on paper instead of just "on the spectrum" would be much more helpful.

And yeah, teachers are shit one time they accused me of stealing a book when the teacher to whom it belonged had clearly stated I could borrow it , but my real problem was with other kids. 90% of the time they would just ignore me, but there was this one chick in elementary with a stubby pig-trotter looking vestigial arm who decided to steal my shoes it being the trend of the time to kick them off on the swing and watch them fly and fill them with mud. She got off scot-free for said action, whilst all the authority figures seemed to think it was somehow my fault.

Luckily, nowadays I tend to hang out with other high-functioning autistics, but my social awkwardness does make it somewhat difficult to get a job. Oh well, c'est la vie.
