It's attempt. The difference is women feel this huge pressure to be perfect. Perfect hair, perfect laugh, a perfect mixture of smart and dumb. A shotgun to the face is not perfect, it's not doll-like. A big bruise and a snapped neck isn't perfect.

You'll find that women who commit, they do their hair, they put on perfume, they dress in their nicest clothes, they right a heartfelt letter in their best handwriting, they light candles or incense and then they take a bunch of pills.

Men on the other hand, they wear what they were already wearing, they sort out their affairs so their family doesn't have to, they shoot themselves in the head.

For men suicide is I CAN'T HANDLE BEING A STATUE ANYMORE
For women suicide is SEE, NOW I'M A STATUE FOREVER
#313 - anonymous (11/22/2014) [-]
So true. I mean come on, it's not like men have to go through any pressure to be tall, masculine, no feelings and no crying because that's not manly... oh wait... they do!
User avatar #320 - thirdjess (11/22/2014) [-]
Ok let me try again in smaller words.

For men, when they commit suicide, it's them saying 'I'm giving up, I can't be perfect'. For women, when they commit suicide, it's them saying 'Now I'm perfect forever'.

You do know there is a multiverse right? Some universes he can pick up the hammer, others he can't.

Keep in mind that Hulk has pretty much limitless strength. It could be that Mjolnir still has a limit to how much it can resist.

considering the hulk is so strong that strength should be named after him, it maybe means that Mjolnir has a weight and can be carried by anyone with the right amount of strength, OR it just means that Hulk was so god damn mad and tried so damn hard it proved him worthy and hence he could lift Mjolnir up
User avatar #247 - schneidend (10/30/2014) [-]
Hulk sometimes gets angry enough to lift Mjolnir with pure strength, but it is fighting him the entire time. Steve is close to lifting it because he is a truly good person, but perhaps not quite in the same mindset as somebody Asgardians would consider "worthy."

Well in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Mjolnir is moved based on worth, not strength. Comics change all the time, sometimes it is strength, sometimes not... keep in mind that Hulk is literally the strongest Avenger, and even character on earth.
User avatar #227 - unlimitedgrease (10/30/2014) [-]
And by now only Thor is worthy in the cinematic.

It's just weird they don't even have continuity in their own universe. In one of the animated movies hulk bashes them all to dust with the hammer. and in other comics they either sciences up and find a way to send it back or with raw power.

So why could this not be the case with Steve. Being the badass he is

There are two people who can lift the hammer and that is Thor and Captain America. He'd done it in the comics.
User avatar #283 - icrapgoldndiamonds (10/30/2014) [-]
hulk picked it up
red hulk too
magneto used the environment around the hammer to use it
odin's father mearly flipped it out of the way when thor threw it at him
and throg. loki turned thor into a frog and it wielded a tiny mjolnir
then there's that alien guy who proved worthy but thor werent happy so odin crafted a new hammer for that alien to use.
#269 - Spikeydeath (10/30/2014) [-]
Spiderman too
User avatar #318 - traveltech (10/30/2014) [-]
Well fuck. What does it take to not be able to wield Thor's hammer in the comic books? It seems like everyone can.
#320 - Spikeydeath (10/30/2014) [-]
I dont think Wolverine could ever wield it lol.
User avatar #321 - traveltech (10/30/2014) [-]

He's also presently dead.
User avatar #323 - traveltech (10/30/2014) [-]
Yeah, but how long do you honestly think that will last?
#324 - Spikeydeath (10/30/2014) [-]
Until January, but seriously. It takes a certain kind of person weild mjolnir and Wolverine is way too selfish and basically a prick.
User avatar #325 - traveltech (10/30/2014) [-]
True, but Magneto found a loophole
