 Well yeah, but it's not like he can tell who it is underneath the helmets Besides, his first time on the job he saw his comrades murder a village full of innocent people, and as soon as he left he knew that all of them would try to kill him regardless of whether he fought back or not. He was terrified of the First Order for a reason  I get it, nothing's ever gonna fit perfectly. There are a few possible reasons though: one, it's impossible to tell one trooper from another. Finn kinda looks at TR-8R like he might recognize him, but the fact that he tried to beat him down with a stun baton quickly ended any thoughts of conversation. Two, Finn was fighting for his life. No matter how much you care about other people, when they start shooting at you the only reasonable thing to do is shoot back. | ||

That's all dressed up as the big turning point, where he realizes "wait a second, this is not a good guys thing... this is very much a BAD guys thing... shit, and command is full of assholes like this. I need to get out" ...so, maybe Finn believed in the FO right up until then? | ||
