Another Liverpool fan here. I wish it weren't necessary, but they will need video judges to determine this. Also, the diving needs to be penalised.

Even better. Heard this. You can have a small group that checks games (maybe only the big ones for starters) If a player's (shamefull) actions end in a bad call from the referee, said player gets a 100,000€ fine.
Also, I believe some referee's (really crappy ones) are way too protected by their associations, therefore many games have referee's well known for their terrible performances in the past. This should also be worked on.
I may sound too harsh. But watching a player fake a foul (even one of my favorite team) makes me want to go there and f*cking slap them. It's a disgrace to the sport, I tell you.

100,000 €? not all players get paid the same

how bout a 1-2 weeks salary?
Though the definition of diving is also quite thin. Is it conidered a dive if u go down after a light touch? And then u'd also need the definition of a light touch, and whether if it actually removed the goal scoring opportunity or not. The system would be very complex and in my eyes undoable.
Best way to get rid of diving would be some high tech technology which would calculate player speeds, the speed of the legs, body mass, etc, though that would also be complex and highly unpractical.

Still, 100,000€ should stop most of the "drama" on the field, although maybe it's to much for some and too little for others, I think it's an amount that fairly hits most players. Additional considerations can be applied to different cases.
And let's face it. Most of this "dives" are so painfully obvious that the line is not so thin. Any idea that can stop this bullsh*t is good.

#30 - "quid" is a slang term for Pounds. So £110 is $181.  [+] (1 reply) 12/27/2013 on i love andrew wk. 0

I watch Top Gear on BBCA and I always wondered what the difference between pounds and quid was.
