listen up, faggot, I studied Greek for 5 years. "Para" means "next to", "kind of", or something like that. That's why we have "para"medics, "para"rhymes and so on. The Paralympic games are supposed to be those games next to/kind of like the Olympic games. The suffix -lympic just comes from "Olympic", which means "Of Olympia", and that's the Greek city-state where they originally took place.
