So you're putting your faith in a country that you think just tossed troops around willy nilly not really planning ahead, and then promptly sat on it's ass for ten years? Jesus.
User avatar #64 - tylermcall (03/09/2014) [-]
Middle east problem is very debatable, and many people have many opinions on what we should do there, so gridlock is almost a certainty. So, no we didn't just throw troops in and live for the moment. The situation turned out to be much more complicated than originally thought, but I guess being Russia's bitch is the best option possible.
User avatar #65 - tittylovin (03/09/2014) [-]
You must be a huge pussy if you think that if we don't attack Russia they'll somehow defeat us. No wonder you're so quick to want us to fight, you're scared.

Where did I say attack, show me. Let me save you time, I didn't. Occupy doesn't mean guns blaring like it is the wild west, what I'm saying is we should nip this problem in the butt before it grows out of hand.

If it takes us a decade to do essentially nothing in Dirtistan against monkeys with shitty equipment, how bad do you think we're going to do against a real army?

Because we aren't really trying in the Middle East. Nothing is happening in the Middle East because we as a nation have no good idea what to do. With Russia, we have a decent idea and support from many European nations.

At least it wouldn't have involved us in several decades long wars while simultaneously lowering the way the rest of the world sees us.
User avatar #58 - tylermcall (03/09/2014) [-]
All I'm saying is this isn't a huge issue yet, but could grow very huge. America is the only nation that could take on Russia militarily, so, right now, the best idea would be to occupy Ukraine, and make sure no funny business is happening. Sure there will be escalating tensions, but if war happens to break out; it won't end well for Russia.

Look, I doubt you have ever even handled it let alone smoked it and thus your opinion on the matter is really null. That and your blanket generalization is a glaring flaw in your argumentative approach that anyone will tell you is incorrect.

If you have even the most basic understanding of US history, you'd find that the situation in the United States with cannabis at the moment almost perfectly mirrors that of Prohibition after the 18th Amendment. It will be legal soon, and it will gradually become accepted again, just as alcohol did. It is not the best recreational activity (what is?) but it certainly is enjoyable.

I think it's much better for a parent (who most likely knows a little about cannabis) to be able to teach their kids about how to use it safely and how to use it in moderation. Being cool about something like that doesn't mean you can't still be a parent about it and show your kids that it is still something that can be abused, but can also be used responsibly and safely. Also, don't call people ignorant cunts, that's rude.

Pot does not make you drop out of high school. Being lazy or having a disability make you drop out of high school. I find it amazing how people can be so staunch about advocating personal responsibility while caring so much about such trivial things.

4 was the best because I felt it didn't focus to much on nature, and it had a huge movepool. I'm kind of oldschool and miss the days when you could just catch a pokemon and the goal was just to reach level 100.
User avatar #581339 - makotoitou (03/01/2014) [-]
But 4 was where competitive really took off. Also, in game still allows you to yolo to level 100, so make your own fun.
User avatar #581340 - tylermcall (03/01/2014) [-]
It definitely started with 4, but it was minor compare to 5&6. And yes, you could raise it to 100, but if it wasn't the best nature or something like that it wasn't the best. Not like Gen 1, when everyone was the best, so you didn't have to waste time breeding and releasing to have the strongest pokemon possible.

Wifi battling started with 4, competitive started in 3

Modified Rules, I allowed myself to catch more than one, but the catch is every time I use the PC I must release one pokemon. This allows to use a wider range of pokemon with a bigger cost.

I just finished the Nuzlocke challenge. At first, I tried to evenly level up the pokemon I caught, but after they kept dying, I decided to create an OP as fuck Blastoise. By the time I beat the Elite Four, I had a level 83 Blastoise, and the next highest was a level 38 Pidgeot (that I caught as a level 37 Pidgeotto).
User avatar #581414 - tylermcall (03/01/2014) [-]
That would probably be smart considering 7 of mine had some use before they perished.

How do you have a dugtrio if you only have one badge?
User avatar #581322 - tylermcall (03/01/2014) [-]
I went ahead to get some extra training for Ivysaur and Oddish. I lost Ivysaur, but gained Dugtrio.

I like it too, it's less complicated. But skipping gyms is possible in all gen's I believe.
