I think it's a matter of perspective though since Most People Also Consider Politicians and Officers as Individuals who should rise above the rest. I do understand your point though, on how hypocritical it may seem if the one who preaches what is good or what is bad, deliberately what goes against what they preach but politicians can also be held in high regard since they are the "key figure" of a city/state/Country also Police since the idea of a cop ( in a naive sense ) is a peacekeeper, that Cops are Higher Than the average citizen. ( i apologize if my point is not clear, since i cannot fully express it in English)

I agree with a lot of what you said, but the "It's religious figures who claim that they are good and everyone who doesn't follow their teachings are evil" isn't necessarily true. It says in the bible that all men are created equal. Catholicism believes that a select few are closer to god than others and that's also why people branched off from catholicism and christianity was born, (though a majority of christians are doing the same thing by claiming all men are equal except gays, blacks, jews, etc. The WBC is pretty much who I'm talking about. Sorry if this was all over the place I've only been up for a little while.

The kinds of religious figures who put themselves out there are the kinds of religious figures who will claim that if you don't worship the same way they do, you're going to hell.

I fully understand that not every religious person in the world thinks like that, but the fact of the matter is that you're not going to get a huge following by preaching that people can go to heaven even if they don't follow what you say.

You're right but I also want to point out that it's not only Priests that gets their actions covered up. Politicians and Police Officers crimes Like Molesting/ Laundering and etc.. are also covered up w/o due punishment. What I'm trying to say is that everyone who has power will usually abuse it, but society usually "over criticize" Religous Figures. ( Sorry if My grammar is terrible, English isn't my primary Language.)

We "overly" criticize religious figures because they are claiming to be holy bastions of all that is good and sacred in the world. Politicians make no such claim, police officers only claim to keep the peace. It's religious figures who claim that they are good and everyone who doesn't follow their teachings are evil. So that's why they get criticized more harshly when they're caught doing something bad.

i've tried it on both, both are of equal quality. difference is i dont have commercials constantly punching me in the face on youtube.
