xif (12/03/2015) [-] We have a lot of these, V-22 Osprey The Marines use this mostly I believe, its a bad ass way of transportation if you ask me. America is a professional killer, especially the Marines they train. We get there in a badass way We get the job done with our badass toys and we come back home. And we don't mind bringing Canada along lol #16 -
turbanmasher (12/04/2015) [-] Oooh look at the vertibirds lol. Yea ospreys are badass. A VTOL prop plane. Course with as much as the US spends on their military they better have good stuff. Yeah, but what we put towards our military, could probably go somewhere else like education. But in my opinion, its okay because America has pissed enough fuckers off to where if we toned down the spending on our militaries, we would look weak and some other country would probably come to fuck with us to test our strength. Sorry to seem to be so America Gung Ho lol Im not really, but I am going to go into the Marine Corps when I am through College and be an Officer. #24 -
turbanmasher (12/04/2015) [-] Thing is you don't have to worry about Canada or mexico, So that leaves attack by sea. A few patrolling ships would be enough of a standing force. You'd think that an navy big enough to challenge the US on home soil would be seen days early by satellite. I dunno just speculation, I know the USA has become the world police so it won't happen.

anon (12/03/2015) [-] Anons aren't useless and I'm offended that you would say something like that. I understand the fact that plastic is an amazing invention but it still doesn't change the fact that plastic is garbage. It's a wasteful material that doesn't break down, and if it does its going to take literally forever. Sure, you can recycle it, but again you only get roughly half of the material used to make it so there will ONLY be a limited supply of plastics in the world. Now to say you were to use plastic for containers they leach. Even aluminum and other metals leach minerals into food/drink if you leave them contained in them but plastic is the same way, but I believe worse and have a higher chance to cause cancer or something like that. But I mean one thing I left out was glass. Glass is amazing, and should be used for more things but the reason why we went away from it is because assholes left broken bottles everywhere and were dangerous if you were to drop a glass jar or container. #119 -
turbanmasher (12/03/2015) [-] I'd love to know where you're getting your facts from. Do you know why plastics don't get recycled as much as other things? Because it's a nightmare to try to separate them. And it's cheaper to buy fresh plastic than to recycle it. Meanwhile aluminum takes like %10 of the energy required to recycle it as smelting it. Plastics are a wide range of materials and you can't lump them together. They have vastly different compositions. As for plastic leaching have you ever heard of a little thing called PTFE aka Teflon? "The only chemicals known to affect these carbon-fluorine bonds are reactive metals like alkali metals and at higher temperature also e.g. aluminium and magnesium and fluorinating agents such as xenon difluoride and cobalt(III) fluoride." They say everything causes cancer these days. Carbon is extremely weakly radioactive, it causes cancer. They say Aluminum causes Alzheimers. We didn't go away from glass because it's brittle, we changed to plastic because it's lighter, tougher, and cheaper to make. Everytime you recycle somethign you don't get back %100 of what you put in. For metals you'll end up with oxides that you can smelt again. With plastics you'll burn some of it making CO2 and CO. Do you know about the Law of conservation of mass? If we recycle plastic we don't magically lose %50 of it. %50 may not be usable as it is but with processing it can be remade. The problem is plastic is so cheap it's not worth investing in recycling it.

| Yes but they're discussing the same topic. You could easily get the same response from both. I love Fallout 4 to death, but the dialogue is easily one of it's weak points, and a downgrade from the previous renditions. | ||
