| no problem! obviously these things that I've recommended aren't the ones you HAVE to get. since you don't seem play any competitive FPS games, where hearing your enemies footsteps in a 3 dimensional space is really important, you don't need a super expensive 5.1/7.1 surround sound headphones. so I would just recommend choosing headsets that seem the most comfortable, but don't buy super cheap ones just because they're comfy. noise cancellation is always a plus. (although, sometimes you don't realize that you are speaking really fucking loud...which may annoy other family members :D) generally speaking a good gaming mouse is defined by its DPI (dots per inc) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouse_dpi#Mouse_speed. the higher DPI, the more accurate/responsive the mouse is. but again, DPI is the biggest concern for competitive FPS players. for your type of games, DPI shouldn't be a huge concern so choose something that fits your hand the best. its always a plus if the mouse has few buttons on the side and a button that changes the DPI (sensitivity) on the fly. | ||

alleksi (11/10/2012) [-] I've used logitech mx3000 (picture) for ages now, never had a problem with it. although, I've never used the buttons at the top. it's wireless, which generally speaking isn't a good thing. there are many fairly cheap keyboards like this. but once again I'd advice not to buy a keyboard, and instead use more money on a good headset and mouse. since you don't play games that require many keybindings, you can get a pretty good mouse fairly cheap. logitech g500 (or g400/mx518/g5...they're all pretty much the same) is a pretty nice and cheap mouse. its pretty much the "standard entry level" gaming mouse. the two buttons on the side can be rebinded to your liking and should be sufficient for the games you play. if you decide not to buy a keyboard, you could go for something more expensive (and better) razer deathadder. I've never used it but I have heard that its a pretty solid mouse. the "one up" from the deathadder is the razer mamba. its basically the same as deathadder but it has few more buttons. the razer taipan also seems pretty good generally speaking, logitech and razer have the best mice. if you're going for a ~50$ headset, I'd probably recommend something like the creative fatal1ty's. it was my first gaming headset. they're pretty good for their price. My fatal1ty's broke, though. if you're going for something more expensive, try out the steelseries siberia v2's (what I have at the moment). I really don't have much experience with headsets but the best gaming headsets are made by logitech, razer, steelseries, tritton and probably roccat. just search what they got to offer. Yeah, I think I'll save the money from they keyboard and the headset and buy the Razer mamba, it seems soo perfect! And the deathrazor and the other ones seem to be just a LITTLE bit better than mine, soo I guess it wouldn't be worth it :X Tough I still think I'll buy a new keyboard, Im learning how to programm soo I guess I need a better one... | there is literally no reason to buy a gaming keyboard. none at all. just use the one you have now. only time you really need a gaming keyboard (with those fancy extra buttons) is when you play something that requires a lot of keybinding, such as MMO's. before I can start recommending you anything, I should probably know what kind of games you like to play Thank you, I usualy play League of Legends ( my most played game ), But I do play Ragnarok, and games like minecraft, half life, portal, amnesia, penumbra, diablo 2 and 3... I wanna get a keyboard because my new one is realy bad ( and old ), and I'd like one with music interativity, to pause, play etc while in game. #209345

You might also want to buy a nice mousepad to go along with it. I have the Roccat Taito mid size 3mm, it might a bit pricey at $15, but the two go together so well and feels very nice. | ||
