I think Netflix has it. They have two Doctor Who titles at the moment but Im not sure if the second one are the classics... It could be a movie or something.

Rose Tyler was a pretty obvious self-insert by the (at the time) head writer Russell T. Davis.

She had no flaws, hijacked the story, took center stage when she had already left the series, and ends up with a perfect fairytale ending while everyone else has to deal with the harsh reality of life. In short: a textbook mary sue.

Sorry about everyone thumbing you down for you just talking about the show, I'm American and I know exactly why you said it. I know several people that have only watched about a few episodes of Tennant as the Doctor and think they know everything. Also, thumped all the comments that you got thumbed down, up.

Thank you, I know not every American is like that. It's just that all the ones that are, are American. It's good to see another Real Who fan.

It's pretty much true. The good thing about all the new seasons though, well, Starting with 9 is they, what's the saying, revamped(?) it. I mean, with the whole Time War and the last Time Lord thing, but with the way fans jump into it, they completely skip 9 and go into 10, which honestly shouldn't happen, because you don't get the whole back-story; unless they count, "I'm the last Time Lord." being repeated about 100x times throughout the series.

Also, noticed the comment about the Ganger Doctor, you think it's possible that, since we saw him getting used to the Doctor's previous regenerations, when he "absorbed" the DNA and all that jazz, he somehow absorbed a small bit of the Time Vortex energy? Kinda like Melody Pond being conceived on the TARDIS? Unlikely, but I could imagine Moffat pulling something like that outta his hat.
#4 to #3 - tsukasamacleod (09/13/2011) [-]
The thing is: Moffat has a lot more credibility than that: The vortex is not ingrained into his DNA. So if they do that, it does not make any sense. The thing about Melody's conception was that it happened in close proximity to a direct time vortex source, while transferring a non Gallifreyan trait through DNA is utter B.S.

True, I just hope they don't pull something completely campy.

Although, the strange thing about that episode, He was sitting on a car, but no TARDIS in sight. I suppose that's where the Ganger theory comes from, but another thing with the Ganger Doctor, the way the Doctor went on in that episode about them being actually alive, he'd be asking someone to kill themselves so he could live.
