No, its not a "good way of seeing things" the source we have on the story is exactly what hazeleyedstranger said, assuming anything else is idiotic because you're making completely baseless assumptions.

That is a good way of seeing things. Sorry I was quick to judge as well, your comment just came about as one of those guys who blame woman for all evil, instead of blaming bad people of both gender.

First:
- We are not sure if the aunt, the mother of the cousin, forced her way in. She probably didn't as she is family.

- If the man was on his way to beat the cousin up, fuck that gives the aunt plenty of reason to beat the ever living shit out of him.

- If the aunt has seen no proof of the cousin ever being physically abused at any point, like no bruises and shit. Personally I would probably believe my own child before the man. Might not be the right thing to do, especially since he could be innocent, but I guess it is instinct. But I can see your point. Then the aunt would be in the wrong plus the daughter for lying.

However seems like it was common knowledge in OP's family that the husband would physically abuse the cousin and it didn't seem like he was gently trying to force her out and if we are really putting the devil in the detail we do not know if the husband or the cousin owns the house they live in. Heck they might even live in a shack on the aunts property for all we know so the aunt had every right to forcibly eject him.

But I see your point. However I think the aunt would be in the right to pick a fight with him, in his own home, if he is beating her child. It shouldn't be legal but I think he would be more in the wrong than the aunt would and both should be punished by the law.

I would headbutt someone who was hitting my kids too. Even if my kids were adults. So I would say that is pretty decent reason, not the best (probably the only worse thing would be to kill him or some shiz).

Considering the husband beats his wife up all the time, if we are to believe op, he probably isn't an innocent misunderstood man that woman are abusing.
