Sorry themarineelite but i think thats not a good idea. Start with metal gear (for the MSX) then metal gear 2: solid snake (both games are 8 bit-ish) then MGS, MGS2, MGS3 etc... the games were made to be played like that really. It is cool in a way to play the games in chronoligical order (what I did) but the fact is that you are going to spoiler yourself a lot. I realized it a couple of times. When you play them in chronological order there are just fewer and fewer omg-moments and cool realizations. Its still great, the greatest gaming experience Ive ever made but if you want a piece of advice heres mine: Play them in the order they appeared. In the end they were meant to be played in that order.

Well This is if you don't mind playing an old MSX game. Metal Gear 1/2 are vastly different than metal gear solid.

Hmm yes. They were a hard nut to crack. I used a couple of walkthroughs. Otherwise it would have taken me a lot more time. And yes.. they are quite different. he could also just read a plot summary. Both games have not that much plot and are easy to understand. No problem acutally if he skips them but I just really wanted to have played them.

Well if you want to start earliest in the timeline, Play Metal Gear Solid 3. If you wanna play them chronologically play MGS 1, and go forth from that.

Well, either Jesus is a hypocrite or when he fulfilled the Old Covenant, it was then superseded by the New Covenant, what with new laws and a new promise... who needs the Promised Land, when instead you can inherit the Kingdom of Heaven? Jesus made God our adoptive Father and not just Creator

But I won't bring up biblical contradictions. There's a lot of contradictions and rules that no longer apply in the Bible, however this particular issue is not one of those contradictions. It further shows the transition from the Old promise and the New one.

Job was the old testament.
User avatar
#26 - trollzoll (06/20/2015) [-]
Throughout the Old Testament, God is presented as all powerful, without equal and in no competition with any other force. The Old Testament makes it very clear that any adversary to God’s people was ultimately under the control of God Himself. All angels are spoken of as being decent and the servants of God. Even angels of evil , who may bring destruction upon sinners, are still God’s angels carrying out his will and judgments.

Only in Zechariah and the book of Job Satan is mentioned as a distinct being. In Zechariah 3:1 Satan appears as the accuser to bring men’s failings to the attention of God.
This was what I found.

1) If i could choose between a free and good life without ,,boundaries" (strict faith to something that hasnt been proven yet) and a ,,piecefull afterlife" without heaven(you have to be very religious to come to heaven and cant live ur life like you want to)or hell 2) or a life with boundaries that lead eventually to heaven(strict following of ur religious beliefs that can eventuelly lead to eternal pain and suffering(hell) if not lived like u should be, as written in the ,,holy books" -> i would definitely choose the 1. one ^^

technically it depends on what someone means by the concept of "god/s". the classic omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient god can easily be shown not to exist by pointing out contradictions in the definition omnipotents paradox for example , of course this only works if one is first accepting that concepts with contradicting traits are false by default.
