In ireland, we can smoke and drink as much as we want from any age, it may be illegal, but as long as we spare a cop a cig or give him some drink, he just walks away like "nice kids"

I honestly see tinker kids around Galway drinking at the ages of like 5 or 6. How can they even handle alcohol? Gards are pricks to us round here for drinking underage but we still get away with it and have done for years. It's more cause they have nothing to do and just decide to crack down on young lads smoking and drinking to give themselves something to do.

I smoke past the police here, its not illegal too smoke, its illegal to provide to minors and for minors too buy, but if youve bought em already, isnt illegal, stupid really but good for people our age.

EXACTLY how I feel. The next big dilemma in the next book better be more exciting and good as the whole Amon thing. I think the whole issue of Amon was awesome because it kept people guessing and theorizing on who Amon was and how he could take away bending and then they end it in 12 episodes. Wtf.

Yeah I have to say that the finale did too much in so small of time. And I would have liked if korra didn't get her bending back, it would have been more interesting for the second season. And the way she got her bending back.

It was only bloodbending, in the end, which the Avatar is apparently immune to.
The fact she can do it to others I found a bit stupid, however.

Well Amon took the bending away using bloodbending, and Katara learned how to bloodbend without any practice after Hama used it on her, so it makes sense that Korra, being the Avatar, can pick up on bloodbending just as quick. Other people couldn't do it because nobody was a strong enough bloodbender to pull it off which is why Korra had to use the Avatar state to do it.

She's not bloodbending though.
She's doing fancy Avatar spirit stuff.
It can't be undone with just bloodbending, or Katara would have done it.

Katara was using her healing powers, she wasn't trying bloodbending. Even so she still probably wouldn't have been able to do it because her bloodbending wasn't strong enough. Remember that Yakone and his son's bloodbending was so powerful they didn't even need the extra power from the moon. It's shown that a powerful enough bloodbender can stop someone else from using it on them, which is why Aang in the avatar state was more than powerful enough to stop Yakone, and Katara couldn't when they were in the courtroom.

Katara wasn't even in the courtroom, and I don't think Aang ever learnt bloodbending.
Anyway, since Aang is dead, he can't bend anymore. All he has is his spiritual mojo stuff.

Aang learned bloodbending the same way as Katara. By having it used on him by Hama. When you enter Avatar state you get all the strength and knowledge of the past avatars. Korra gained Aang's knowledge of bloodbending, but she needs the extra boost from the avatar state to use it to take and replace bending, which is why you see her in it when she gives it to Lin.

Katara was a master waterbender.
Like, holy balls master.
It is never said, shown or even really implied that Aang ever learned bloodbending.
Katara watched Hama.
Bending is, for the most part, a martial art.
She watched Hama bloodbend, while the only experience that Aang got was during a somewhat stressful time, considering, you know, his blood was being bent.
I'm not saying you're wrong. You could be right, I'm not a writer for the show.
But I find it just as, if not more likely, that the Avatar's spiritual powers allow them to overcome such physical trauma as bloodbending.

For example, why did Korra not learn bloodbending after being bloodbent first by Tarrlock and then by Amon?
She is an extremely powerful bender.

Agreed. I hate how she got her bending back RIGHT after she just got it taken away. They should have had her take a "journey" into the avatar state so she could leanr more about Aang and past avatars.

I thought they were going to make her relearn all of her bending powers, which would give fuel for the next three seasons. Then again, that would almost exactly like the original
