You don't need to be force sensitive to use a lightsaber. Granted it helps a lot, but it's not a requirement. Look at Grievous. He was not a force sensitive and he took down many Jedi. The force just helps you by showing you what will happen so you can better prepare yourself. Like if someone is going to shoot you with a blaster, the force tells you where that blaster shot will land so you can put the lightsaber in the way. If you pick up a lightsaber and you are really good with swords, it helps. Force is not required.

The reason people are giving the chick shit is because Luke was supposed to be more powerful than vader, and vader was supposed to be retardedly powerful as far as the force goes. And luke had an amazingly hard time trying to use the force for the first time and then she beats out a trains forced user in the fight.

You should really skip the Clone Wars CGI show. Just watch 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, old 2D Clone Wars, 3.
Watch them in that order. Much better that way.

The reason I say skip the CGI show is because it really doesn't even fit. It conflicts with things in the movies. Also the characters are drastically different in the movies and that show. Not a single movie mentions Ahsoka or Anakin ever having an apprentice so it just feels awkward. Trust me, if you watch CW THEN 3, everything will feel weird. The characters will feel different and it will just be bad. Honestly, I would say to just skip the CGI all together. It's mildly entertaining, but they paint every character too obvious. When you see a character, you know almost immediately which side they are on. If someone is a good guy, they are either completely good or secretly the most evil person. If you see a bad guy, they are the Disney type of bad guy where it feels like they are evil just for the sake of being evil.

The CGI tries to paint the Separatists are pure evil. Yes they do show a few peaceful ones, but they make the vast majority seem like evil maniacal warlords. In the old canon, the Separatists were more enjoyable because they actually had reasons for what they were doing other than "hurr durr imma do this because im evil lolz!". They wanted to be separate from the Republic because they felt it was a bad system(which it was) and they wanted to coexist with it peacefully, but have their own ways on their own planets. The movies even support this, but CW tosses it out the window in favor of sadistic evil warmongers.

Also, remember it's a cgi show for kids. That was made in America. We think kids don't have the mental capacity, let alone morality, to understand the grey areas. Even if the producers don't think that, they don't want to be teaching kids about how "evil" actions can be done for "good" reasons.

That still doesn't excuse them for making it "canon". Star Wars is not meant to be dumbed down that much. Also, the order you listed is not good for a first time viewer. You also left out Episode 1 entirely. That's a pretty big one to skip.

I agree with both statements. The "flashback" viewing pattern is not meant for first time viewers - it is just a fun way to watch it. I didn't come up with it, I heard of it online. They skip episode 1 since supposedly it doesn't add that much and also the general hatred of that movie.

As far as clone wars being canon, Legends (formerly EU) was completely replaced by it, since the main reason they are trying to make star wars pretty kid friendly. Also, clone wars doesn't have nearly as much going on, so it gives more room to write. Why pick clone wars and not pick-and-choose from EU? Because it's a lot easier to say "this one thing is canon" as opposed to "this is canon, not this, this is, etc."

But dang, I wish they make Mara Jade canon again. Maybe Anakin Solo can also come back, and not die super young teach his brother a lesson.

I know the CGI show replaced the old canon. I just hate it. I didn't say anything for other materialother than the movies and that old Clone Wars cartoon. We're talking about the movies right now. I know EU isn't canon anymore, but that isn't relevant. I'm saying the new CW doesn't fit with the movies so I said it's best to skip it.

I don't think Kylo has an siblings. That would be a huge thing to leave out in the movie. There was not a single mention of other children so it's reasonable to believe they aren't canon anymore.

Watch 4,5,2,3,6. It's like the prequels are a flashback that Vader has, which explains the backstory but then again, i've only ever watched it like that during a marathon. So maybe the effect is lost when watching them one by one.

It's not dissecting it at all. That is actually the order they were released. That's not some random order. That's actually the most commonly referred order to watch them. That's actually how most Star Wars fans watched them. The CGI Clone Wars was made years after episode 3. That's not picking and choosing what is and isn't real. The movies are the main canon. Any spin-offs that conflict with it aren't canon.

You really shouldn't watch them in chronological order if it's your first time. It's really best to watch it the order I listed. You watch 4, 5, 6 and see the main plot. 1, 2, and 3 show how that came to be. That's why they are called the prequels. If you play a game that starts out with 1 and see there is a prequel that was released after, you generally don't play that first. Prequels are generally made for people familiar with the series. The things said in prequels are generally linked to things you know in the chronologically later movie/game.

Trust me, watch them in the order I listed. Most people will say the same list, but some will leave out the 2D Clone Wars. 2D Clone Wars is optional, but I feel it fits fine and kind of bridges the gap between 2 and 3. Chronological order isn't always the best way to watch things. You should really watch them the way they were meant to be watched which is the order I gave you. It's really up to you, but I'm telling you the CGI CW will really leave a bad taste in your mouth when you get to 3. Not a single thing that happens in the show is even mentioned in 3. Not even character personalities are similar. You'll likely stick to your own order, but I just wanted to try to warn you so you didn't get a bad taste of Star Wars.
