well in RSA our computer degrees fall under Electrical Engineering
what I'm going to study is Electrical Engineering : Computer Systems
If memory serves right then in the UK its seen as a combination of Computer Engineering and Computer Science

I love AI but I enjoy hardware design a lot more ^^

Here in the US we have degrees that focus solely on software computer science. There are others that are a combination of electrical engineering and computer science also. Most of the electrical engineering/computer science ones fall under computer engineering. Some colleges also have combination degrees that are called CS/CE so you're degree is both a science and engineering degree.
